The Bureau of Standards and Inspection of the Ministry of Economic Affairs pays attention to issues such as mobility and life accessibility for the elderly and the disabled in China, and continues to promote relevant measures to protect the rights of the disabled. It has held the "Universal Design Competition for Assistive Device Products for the Disabled and the Elderly" over the years. , "Selection of commercially available assistive devices friendly to people with disabilities and the elderly" activity, hoping to use the creative ideas and designs of the contestants to invest new momentum in the development of China's assistive device industry.

In 2019, a total of 103 products were selected for high-quality commercially available assistive devices. Each product can demonstrate its thoughtful design that provides users with safety and convenience. After the selection, a total of 20 outstanding products were selected. Among the award-winning products, Experian's exclusive agent Moderna Air Tipping Comfortable Wheelchair received high praise from the sixth jury and became the preferred assistive device of the year.

The Bureau of Standards and Inspection emphasized that through the results of this universal design competition for assistive device products and the selection of friendly commercially available assistive devices, participants are encouraged to combine creativity and use innovative technology to promote the development of a friendly environment, inspiring all walks of life to pay attention to assistive devices and friendly products.
